Summerville Senior Adult Ministry provides opportunities for senior adults to grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, serve others, and remain actively involved in the life and ministry of the church. Through fellowship, worship, service, and missions, we want our senior adults to continue using their gifts to make an impact for Christ in our church and community.

Keeping Young

Our Keeping Young group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall for a covered-dish luncheon. It's a great opportunity to enjoy a meal together, hear from guest speakers, and build relationships with other senior adults.

Amen Choir

Many of our senior adults participate in the Amen Choir, a community choir made up of members from churches throughout our area. The choir meets on Mondays at 10:30 AM at Lakewood Baptist Church and provides opportunities for fellowship and ministry through music.

Serving Others

Senior adults are an important part of the ministry of Summerville Baptist Church. Many serve through ministries such as our Food Closet, Hospital Bag Ministry, Living Water Ministry, Meals on Wheels, Sunday School, church committees, missions, and other areas throughout the life of our church.

 

We believe every season of life provides opportunities to serve Christ and others, and we encourage our senior adults to continue using the gifts and experiences God has given them to make a difference.​
