Available Ministries

Children

At Summerville, we want children to know Jesus, understand God's Word, and learn what it means to follow Him every day. Through age-appropriate Bible teaching, worship, discipleship, and fun, we provide a safe and caring environment where children can grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships.

Students

Summerville Students exists to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus, develop as leaders, and find their place in the life of the church. Through biblical teaching, worship, fellowship, and opportunities to serve, we want students to build lasting relationships while learning what it means to faithfully follow Christ.

Women

Summerville Women's Ministry seeks to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Christ and build meaningful relationships with one another. Through Bible study, fellowship, service, and opportunities for discipleship, women of all ages are encouraged to grow in God's Word and faithfully follow Jesus.

Men

Our Men's Ministry exists to disciple men who desire to strengthen their walk with the Lord and become actively involved in the life and ministry of the church. We meet on Thursday mornings to study God's Word, discuss how Scripture applies to our lives, and challenge and encourage one another to faithfully follow Christ.

Senior Adults

At Summerville Baptist Church, our senior adults value fellowship with one another and connecting to our church and community.

Music

At Summerville, our desire is to worship Christ together through music that is biblical, Christ-centered, and brings generations together in praise to God.

"Worship the LORD with gladness;

come before him with  joyful songs..."                                                         Psalm 100:2

Food Closet

Our Food Closet serves individuals and families in the Phenix City area by providing food assistance, spiritual encouragement, and basic referral information. The Food Closet is staffed by Summerville volunteers and is open each Tuesday morning beginning at 9:00 AM.

Summerville's Hospital Bag Ministry provides bags filled with bottled water, snacks, tissues, and other small comforts for families and friends waiting with loved ones at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. Volunteers help deliver these bags as a simple way to offer encouragement, care, and the love of Christ during what can be a difficult time.

Loving HIS Kids

Loving HIS Kids seeks to show the love of Christ by meeting practical needs of children and families in our community. Through ongoing ministry and special opportunities throughout the year, we want children to know they are loved, valued, and cared for.
